OneNect

OneNect, for a company

  1. Week oneEverybody installs it.
  2. Month threeThe notifications get muted.
  3. The renewalNobody can say who still opens it.

So Corp is not a second app. It is the company floor of OneNect itself.

Every engagement platform starts by asking a workforce to install something, then spends the rest of the contract persuading them to open it again. Corp is a pillar on OneNect, the app built for family and friends, so the workplace is a section of an app a person keeps for their own reasons. That is a decision about shape rather than a longer feature list, and a longer feature list is not an answer to it.

Corp is the pillar that runs today: the app, the admin centre and the API. OneNect itself, the app the pillar sits on, is in build. The band below says so on every visit.

Built

Built and running. Corp is the product that exists today: the app, the admin centre and the API. Every screen below is a real screen of it, rendered from the Meridian Group demonstration tenant.

What it does

The company floor,
on a phone.

Meridian Group makes seals in Rotterdam, Antwerp, Monterrey and Penang. Everything below is rendered from that tenant's own seeded content: its people, its values, its store, its orders, its alerts.

The feed

Recognition that lands where the work happened

Posts, photos, polls and comments, scoped to as much of the company as a person wants to see: just me, my department, my location, my country, my region, or all of it. Recognition is a post with a company value attached, so praise is filed against what the business says it stands for instead of disappearing into a separate app nobody opens.

  • Six scope levels
  • Post as yourself, your department or the company
  • Ten languages, translated in place

Steps

It is called Move, and that is a deliberate choice

A step count is health data, so the section is not called Health and nothing is counted, shown or ranked until a person turns it on themselves. Reading the phone's health record is a second, separate permission that takes one number a day, the total, and never a route, a location or a workout. Joining a challenge is what puts somebody on a board. Leaving takes them straight back off it.

  • Three separate consents
  • One number a day from the health record
  • Nobody is ranked by default

Emergency

One button, held for three and a half seconds

Code Red alerts up to four people chosen in advance, with a live location, and shows who answered. A colleague gets it as an alarm on their own phone and can say they are on their way. Separately, an authorised administrator can send a facility alert that sounds through silent mode and a Focus, and opens straight onto the screen where a person marks themselves safe.

  • Hold 3.5 seconds, release to cancel
  • Sounds through silent and Focus
  • Acknowledgements are counted, not assumed

Supply

Kit that costs the person nothing and the cost centre something

Meridian Supply is workwear and safety equipment, charged back to a cost centre rather than paid for. An order carries its own event timeline from placed through approved, allocated, picked, packed and shipped, with the carrier and tracking on it, and the freight and duty added as named fees. The same order desk also runs a points-priced rewards shelf where a tenant wants one.

  • Chargeback by cost centre
  • Order events, not an order status
  • Lot and movement level inventory

Integrations

A request that opens a ticket in the system IT already runs

The Service Hub is a window onto the company's own service desk. Departments and their intake forms are read from that desk, so a department created there on a Tuesday afternoon is on this screen on Tuesday afternoon and the app is never rebuilt for it. If the desk cannot be reached, the screen says so rather than drawing a department list that is not real.

  • Thirteen categories, four priorities
  • Ask in your own words, no form
  • The desk's own status words are carried through

The vocabulary

What OneNect for a company calls things

A personcolleague
A groupdepartment
A gatheringevent
A placesite
The feedEngage
The directoryorg chart

About forty nouns change per product. Documented in the platform plan, not yet enforced by the apps. See them side by side.

Corp runs today

Ask to see it with your own words in the screens.

Tell us roughly how many people, how many sites, and what you use now. We will put your own vocabulary into the product and show you that, and say plainly which parts are finished and which are not. There is nothing to join and no list to be on.
